Holbrook

The Find of a meteorite hunter’s career

Here’s the story I wrote for the late, great, ‘Meteorite’ magazine. It’s an account of the recovery of the largest Holbrook meteorite in 40 + years. The 922 gram, main piece is currently on loan to the University of Arizona and is on display in Representative Martha McSally’s House of Representatives Office in Washington DC.   * If anybody has a picture of this display please contribute it to this site!*

*A side note, at the bottom of the article I said that I was interested in meteorites since 1998 and found my first in 2001. I miscalculated. My first find was winter of 1999.
